Putting away the gear! It's so tough to know that another spring season is in the books and although time really does fly fast when you get older, the spring of 16 seems so long from now! Had another great season, tagged out in my home state of Kentucky for the 25th time in 26 seasons... Shoulda killed one in Indiana but the gun malfunctioned and I let another walk so my step grand daughter might have a chance at it( she did next day and missed)! Thank you Lord for another grand time afield and time spent with my board brothers!

I usually have the long drive home from Wis to have the end of the season settle in. I do have a strong dislike while packing up to leave my cabin.
But about western IA or eastern NE I start thinking about doves. Sept 1st starts on a Tues this year ya know.

Luckily I had a chance to hunt with Doc in Florida again this year, cause then my Mexico trip got cancelled, and the neighbors dogs ran the toms off my place(dog trap to be set 6/1) & rain & weather the 1st 1/2 of season was rough and put new hardwood flooring in my whole house the last 2 nice weeks of season here Lucky for me, it's Michigan Fri, & Chadron NE the 27th!! So there's still hope!!! Keep those grandkids & youngun's huntin'!!!!! Golly I miss all my neighbor kids from Michigan that I took huntin', as they're all grown up and have kids of there own now

OTAY, we done for now. Beach season started yesterday.
We spent several hours unloading the gear from the jeep. Have not completed regrouping of the bum/homeless man looking stuff/gear. Didnt even put the back seat in yet. Did separate ALL the dirty smelly stuff.
Did get a shave n a haircut and A Real shower Did cut the grass ? 75% Did bring home strawberries form the farm. Did get to sleep in my house. Did get the last of the ticks off
Beach season and scout/range seasons overlap. : ) lol
