it's been cold and wet here in the Upsate of SC. Birds are a little close mouthed but that should change this week since temps are supposed to get much warmer.
This is my first season here, so I'm very excited to see what happens with the possibility of 5 birds.
Thanks, Clark

Wow, 5 birds! I think I should move down south. 5 birds would be nice but it would also be nice to have some warmer weather, got a little snow yesterday and maybe some more Thursday.

We've had our annual amount of rain here already. Rivers are not in flood stage but are very high. All the river bottom (which means cover) on the Platte is under water. Eggs of many species are gone.
Driving back on I80 in Neb I saw a LOT of hens in fields. Groups of 3 to 7 hens...not good as they should be incubating now and not flocked up like that.
Might be some renesting but it ain't going to be a good production year on the river.

Had a short period of wet, chilly weather last week and whatever poults without feathers were about might have been in trouble! Fortunately they aren't all in the same phase and if that's all we get then the hatch will b fine!

Couldn't figure why they didn't re-nest yet or didn't have a tom with them!!??
