I was once again blessed to have had a great spring turkey season with 4 nice birds taken in Ohio & New York. After a great opening day hunt here in Ohio, there was a 15 day stretch where I only saw 1 gobbler & no hens, which is pretty discouraging. Then, in New York, things turned around & I killed 3 birds in 4 days of hunting. What this year has taught me is to never give up, that things can change for the better if you just keep plugging away. It was also great to spend time with Walt, & Ron & Kathy. It’s always a gift to break bread with good friends as well as to share tales, some tall, others not so much. I want to also thank Ron for his hospitality & for opening the doors to The Roost to me. I always look forward to my trips there & it’s just icing on the cake to be able to take home a bird or 2, spring & fall. But I have to add: Ron, you need to get a better auctioneer, know what I’m saying?? ROTFLMHAO!!
