This will be 1 of the meals going to Gobbler's Roost in NY for spring turkey camp. It is Picante, Venison, & Sausage Spaghetti Sauce. I like a lot of meat in my sauce, so I added about 1 1/2 pounds of beef & 1/2 pound of pork left over from making venison jerky. I had set the sausage aside & forgot to include it in the pics. INGREDIENTS1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground venison 1 large chopped green peppers, 1 can mushrooms 1 ½ to 2 pounds German sausage 1 pkg. (1.5 oz.) spaghetti sauce mix 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste 1 (12 oz.) can whole tomatoes 1 clove garlic 1 lg. onion 2 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. salt and pepper 1 tsp. paprika 5 to 6 oz. hot or mild picante salsa 1 cup water DIRECTIONS1. Brown venison & sausage in large pot and drain. 2. Peel and slice garlic and onion and place in blender. 3. Place all ingredients except beef, sausage, peppers, & mushrooms & water in blender. 4. Cover blender, chop ingredients first and then blend until thickened. 5. Add contents of blender to ground beef and cook on medium heat for approximately 30 minutes. More water and spices may be added as per your taste.
