After seeing the Sandhill Crane, we drove to another area to check for birds & found this mixed flock of at least 9 birds. This is below the area where 2 gobblers died last fall.
At least 22 Birds at the roost.
As we left The Roost Tuesday morning, we spotted a flock of at least 9 redheads just above The Roost out in the chopped corn field heading towards the sap woods. No pics of those birds but, on the way in, we spotted a big flock at the other end of the same field headed towards the woods below & to the left of The Roost. The general consensus of Ron, Job, & me was at least 25-30 birds. I counted 22 in the 1st pic & I’m sure there were more with more redheads than hens or jennies.
