About 3:15, I decided to take another walk around my place. I grabbed the .223 & walked to the end of the concrete slab in front of my butcher room & looked out towards my target backstop. I spotted a g-hog just down over the lip of the bank going to the top floor of my barn. I had to shoot off-hand & the 1st shot hit just above its head. Instead of running for its den, it sat there giving me a 2nd shot which went into its right ear. There is nothing left of the left side. Those .223s are devastating. I thought the 1st shot had hit it in the rear end but it’s just some blood & tissue from the head shot. I think this 1 & the 1 I got the other day were litter mates as they were about the same size & I killed them within 15’ of each other. I’ll have to keep an eye out around my target range for more.

Great shootin'. Amazing how after years of cleaning them out, there's plenty more each year. They sure get around your part of the township!
