Exactly a month ago today, I got number 8 which was when my creek flooded. The shot knocked it into the water so no pics. I saw number 9 earlier today. I had walked through the barn & exited the north door & started west when he jumped out of a tree & disappeared by the barn. I went back to the house & about an hour later headed back to the barn with the .223. It was sitting on top of my shooting backstop & dropped off the back side before I could get a shot. I went back to the house, got a deck chair & sat about 30 yars to the west of the backstop so I could watch both sides. After about 30 minutes, I saw a weed move behind the backstop & got into position for a shot. A couple of minutes later, I spotted it looking at me. All I could see was a little of it’s head but that was enougn. The .223 did it’s job & almost gutted a young female. The 2nd time I saw it, it was sitting on the top left side of the backstop just inside the uprights. I do have a pic of the other side but it’s really gory & probably shouldn’t be posted.

Good shooting! How far up was it in the tree? Dale, Thx. It couldn't have been very far up as it jumped down, maybe 2-3 feet. Years ago I did shoot 1 out of the same tree about 10' up.

Thx all. It was a great afternoon to be sitting outside anyway. About 72 with a light breeze & the sun at my back shining right on me. Dang near put me to sleep.
