I have recently become aware of another attack on not only our 2nd Amendment Rights but the 1st Amendment as well.
The State Department has issued a proposed update to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which among other things, regulates "technical data" about firearms or ammunition, such as instructions for particular firearms. This update will require that, "one must seek and receive a license or other authorization from the Department or other cognizant U.S. government authority to release ITAR controlled 'technical data.'"
I frequent several hunting forums where part of what is discussed includes but is not limited to the different guns we use & the different types of chokes, shells, shot sizes, scopes, & a vast array of other shooting/gun related equipment. The how-to’s for reloading, including equipment needed, powder types, wads, shot/bullet sites & materials, & all other components are also discussed. If I understand this update correctly, we could all be fined & sent to jail. Not only is this a thinly veiled assault on We the People's 2nd Amendment Rights, it is also a direct attack on our 1st Amendment Rights. This must be stopped & a lot sooner than later.
All 1st & 2nd Amendment supporters will appreciate & encourage you to take a firm stance against this attack on those rights and take whatever steps required to quash this update.
